Our Mission Statement :
At The Texas Coastal Bend Blues Society we are pleased to celebrate and support the vibrant resurgence of blues music in the Coastal Bend and surrounding areas.
Our mission is to ignite the local music scene by providing the necessary funds for talented bands to perform at member venues, and for them to have the opportunity to play festivals and have that journey in the world of the blues shared by blues fans through individual membership in this Blues Society, and increase attendance and business for our business and venue sponsors.
We are dedicated to nurturing local talent through the Jak Payne Scholarship Fund, providing opportunities for emerging musicians to thrive in college level music studies.
Through your support we aim to create a prosperous atmosphere that celebrates the power of live blues music for our blues community, and partner with the Blues Foundation as Affiliates, so all our member bands have opportunities far beyond the Texas Coastal Bend.

Why Donate and How?
The Texas Coastal Bend Blues Society, a 501c3 non-profit, relies on donations to support its activities. Board members and liaisons are volunteers, ensuring donations go directly to the cause. Funds cover administrative expenses like printing, website maintenance, legal fees, and operational costs such as purchasing and maintaining equipment for events. Donations also support hosting blues festivals, paying for permits, stage rentals, artist fees, and more.
The TCBBS is also joining as an affiliate of the Blues Foundation, providing members access to its benefits. Additionally, we have established the Jak Payne Scholarship Fund to support local students pursuing music education. Donations can be made to the society, scholarship fund, or Jonathan’s chosen Autism charity.
Corporate donations are tax-deductible. Please help us keep the blues alive with your donations!
